Sharing the taste of happiness from Japan

Future Canteen is a throwback to 1980s Tokyo when Japan was seen as the future to the West, and at the same time Japan was going crazy over MTV and Western culture. Japanese food was just emerging in Australia with people discovering raw fish, wasabi and snapping chopsticks for the first time. It was a time without mobile phones at the dinner table, and life in general was more simple, innocent and adventurous. We hope to bring a bit of this bright and beautiful era back to the future.
